Welcome to our School! Woolianna School is part of the Top End Group School (TEGS). The school is located on a site owned by the Woolianna Community Development Association. Woolianna School was opened in 1998 and is set on 10 hectares of undeveloped scrub land. The school is situated on Woolianna Road and is 10 kilometres from the Daly River Community. The school and community hall are sited on an excavated site cut out of a hillside. The school consists of 3 demountables which are used as classrooms, a library and canteen. The school, in conjunction with the Red Cross, has introduced the ‘Good Start Breakfast Club®’. Every morning our students are provided with a breakfast which includes cereal, toast and juice before they start formal class activities.
Woolianna School currently enrols students from Transition to Year 9 (4 ½ - 15 years). At the end of the 2007 school year we had 42 students enrolled. Our students are predominantly indigenous, and attend the school from the local Woolianna area as well as from the Nauiyu Community. Our students are picked up daily from the community and surrounding area by the school bus. Statement of Purpose
