In June 2003 the station manager held a rodeo at our new Palumpa Gymkhana and Rodeo Grounds. This was a fund raiser for the new pre school. What a day. Everyone volunteered to do something with some working hard all day in the sun (without a beer in sight at the end). It was a great day and was well supported by many businesses from Queensland and the NT. The local council at Port Keats also attended supplying soft drinks, PA system with their Town Clerk and his main off sider doing the commentory.
