Merrepen & Nemarluk Homeland Centres

We are the two communities of Merrepen and Nemarluk. We are near the Moyle River. Our language is Nungekooragal. Our visiting teacher comes from Nganmarriyanga school (Palumpa ). We go the Ngan to use the computers sometimes.

Our nearest health clinic is in Peppimanarti. We have our health checks each year.

There are 18 students in our two HLCs

Our youngest students are 4 and our oldest student is 14

Kids stuff!

This year we have made some reading books about things we have done. They are called :

The Disco at Merrepen

The Goanna at Nemarluk

The Merrepen Mob go swimming

The Merrepen Arts Festival

We wanted to go to Darwin, so we had to get some extra money. So we all made a painting to sell. Our teachers ( Mandy and Daisy ) are very good artists and they helped us. We sold some paintings to Greg, and some of the teachers at Nganmarriyanga school too. Our other paintings are on display over at the Port Keats art gallery, and we are going to put some in the Merrepen Art gallery at Daly River too.
