Programs

We are currently establishing a bush tucker orchard in conjunction with the Aboriginal Educational Land Care Program sponsored by Greening Australia and Northern Land Council. The purpose of the orchard is to foster an appreciation and ownership of the school grounds by the students. The first 30 trees are currently growing well, with the next lot in their seedling stage, which are being housed in the community nursery.

The program also involves the children being trained as Junior Ranges to encourage the students to take responsibility for their island and community.
