Learning Support
Stuart Park school provides a comprehensive range of support for students including:
- The Macquarie reading program
- The Nemarluk class and
- The buddy programs that upper primary classes run to make school a fun learning experience for younger children.

Macquarie Reading Program
Macquarie Reading is an individual recovery program to assist children, from Years 3 to Year 7, who are not reading at a level consistent with their age level.
This program is labor intensive and relies on adult volunteers, the number of children in the program at any one time is relatively small.
Parents interested in assisting with this program are very welcome. Please contact the school if you have time to assist in this very rewarding program

Nemarluk
Nemarluk Class Pupils from Nemarluk School come to Stuart Park for four days a week.
The pupils have their own classroom at Stuart Park School where they learn maths, literacy and life skills with Nemarluk staff.
Some of these pupils use sign language and pictographs to help them learn and communicate. They enjoy joining in Stuart Park classes for a variety of programs eg physical education, art, library, learning centre activities, music, technology and health.
They attend school Assemblies, sitting with their Stuart Park integrated classes. They participate in Sports Days and all other special events and activities, whenever possible.
They mix with all the other children at playtimes, out in the big Stuart Park grounds. All these opportunities help the children develop and practise important social skills and build friendships.
