Appointed
officials are responsible for the safety and well being of students
in their care. At least one team official must be appointed to accept
"Duty of Care" expectations which are to apply at all
times, to all team officials.
School
Sport NT requires a minimum team official / student ratio for Exchanges
/ Championships of:
Exchange 1:10
Championship 1:20
At
intra territory Exchanges at least 2 team officials are required
irrespective of numbers of students.
On
occasions, students who are selected as team members are required
to travel independently to join the rest of the team. Under these
circumstances the following is to be noted:
Parents
are to be fully informed (and agree to in writing) of all travel
details
The
students Principal is to be informed in writing of all travel
details
Student
departure and arrivals are to be supervised by a team official
or delegate
Students
must be supervised by a Team Official or delegate (these may be
the airline / bus employee etc).
