Welcome to the Travel Buddies page

Travel Buddies are soft toys that travel on behalf of a class to gather information from other people and places. A Travel Buddy sets out with a mission - questions to answer, images to collect etc. While away, students the Travel Buddy is visiting might email students at the school the Buddy belongs to, or might share photos and writing through a web page.Travel Buddies often take with them items about their home school or community and may bring back items from schools it visits.

Travel Buddy exchanges are most effective when there are clear expectations and a real purpose to the visit. The Travel Buddy can visit places that it would be impossible to take a class to.

If you are interested in participating in an NT Travel Buddy exchange or want to find schools that your Travel Buddy can visit, simply email details of your Travel Buddy's mission and requirements to the Sharing our Territory coordinator.
