The Sister Cities Project
Are you interested in a collaborative
online project with a school in one of
our Sister Cities? Darwin has five Sister
Cities - Ambon, Anchorage, Haikou, Kalymnos
and Dili.
Sharing our Territory is developing educational
links with a number of Sister Cities and
is seeking schools that are interested
in participating.
Collaborative projects could take many
forms, with information exchanged and
shared via email and through web pages.
Examples include
-
Collaborative problem solving - two
schools identify problems within their
communities and work with each other
to find solutions
-
Sharing in a common cross cultural
awareness project eg celebrations,
healthy living, peace
-
Virtual Tours eg create a virtual
excursion to your local area for your
partner school to participate in or
'take' your partner school on an excursion
with you
-
Exploring commonalities - our Territory,
your territory. This could be especially
relevant in a project with Anchorage,
Alaska.
Help is available for planning and implementing
your collaborative project.
