Katherine
High School is a comprehensive secondary school offering a range of
courses from Year 8 through to Year 12.
It
is the largest of the two high schools in the Katherine region and the only
one offering courses to year 12. It has an extensive range of modern classrooms
and sporting facilities and is excellently resourced. There are approximately
600 students currently enrolled.

in Katherine, Northern Territory, Australia.

High School is designed to provide all the facilities necessary in a modern,
comprehensive, co-educational secondary school. Specialist teaching areas
for Science, Design and Technology, the Arts, Computing, Home Economics
and Physical Education are both well-designed and well-equipped with modern
machinery and technology.

PROGRAMS
The major thrust at the school is curriculum focussed. However, Katherine
High School also encourages and values student involvement in sporting
activities and the Arts through its promotion of the School Band, the
Rock Eisteddfod, representative sports teams and other extra-curricula
activities such as dance and drama productions.
The package of programs aims to develop the students self worth,
a striving for achievement and the pursuit of excellence. It also aims
to provide students with a sound basis to make realistic choices in their
post-compulsory school life.
