Spike and Eddie visit Newry Station By Luke

Today we arrived at Newry and two kids came out to meet me. 'Hello, I am Luke and this is my brother Dan." said the bigger boy. "I'm Spike and this is Eddie" I replied.

Luke asked if I wanted to go mustering and we couldn't say no! It was a long trip out to the paddock that they were mustering. Luke said 'It's worth the wait when you see the blokes get bucked off, they go really high." "Is there enough time to get pictures?" I asked. "Sure, if you're quick." "Where's Dan,? I haven't seen him all day." I asked. "He's mustering the other side of the paddock," replied Luke. When we finally reached the paddock Luke was right: all the horses, even his, were bucking. Boy I got some great pictures of them. The rest of the day went really well and Luke gave me delicious chocolate cake to eat on the way home."

"Tomorrow is the rodeo, do you want to come?" said Luke. "Yes," I said, 'But what are you going to do with the cattle in the yards?" "Oh, they are the cattle for the rodeo and they are getting trucked out soon." "Before we go to the rodeo we'll take you to our secret fishing hole where you can catch black bream, cod, catfish and perch." I agreed to go and caught a big fish! I was sad to say good bye to Luke and Dan and their family.

I had a great time at Newry with them.

Spike and Eddie then travel to Doojum.
