Spike and Eddie arrive in Alice Springs

The Bilbly Gang worked very hard to help Spike and Eddie learn about Alice Springs and the surrounding communities. Spike and Eddie were invited to join the gang in the classroom!

Spike would love to travel from Darwin to Alice Springs on a train one day.

Eddie and Spike go to the Desert Park.

We rode to the Desert Park. Eddie and Spike drove in their car. We let Mr. Mitchell pay! Eddie and Spike dug a hole under the fence and they crawled in. We had lunch and then we walked around. I had four egg and lettuce sandwiches. Eddie and Spike stole my sandwich. We saw some Bilbies. They were in the Nocturnal House and we got chased by an emu. He didn't catch us. We were tired and we went back to school. We liked best getting chased by the emu!

Eddie and Spike Go To Ormiston Gorge

Last week Marlon, Donald, Ralph ,Travis and Mr. Mitchell went to Ormiston Gorge. Spike and Eddie jumped into their old car. We pumped the bike tyres and checked the chain. My bike looks like a silver BMX bike. We packed food, drinks and torches, clothes and swags. Eddie and Spike took the gear. We got on our bikes and rode to Ormiston Gorge. It was a rough ride. When we got to Ormiston Gorge, we unpacked and ate dinner. We built a fire and cooked sausages, potatoes and carrots. We jumped into our swags. A dingo licked my face. I woke up and I was scared.

Eddie and Spike Go to Palm Valley

Yesterday Marlon, Donald, Ralph and Travis went to Palm Valley. Eddie and Spike came too. My Dad drove the car to Hermansberg. Eddie and Spike were in the back. The car is a 4WD ute. We filled the car up with diesel and drove along the Finke River. The road is rough because you are cruising in the dry creek bed. We got out of the car and went for a walk. We saw rock wallabies and we saw water holes. We came back and had lunch. We had fried meat and fruit box On the way home, we saw two horses fighting. We all had a great time.

Eddie and Spike go to ANZAC Hill

Yesterday at 6:00 pm we went with Eddie and Spike to ANZAC Hill. We went with the bus. Mr. Mitchell drove the bus. We saw the big town from ANZAC Hill. I saw shops and houses. We saw some roads and railway trains. We also saw the Gap and Mount Gillen. I was telling Eddie and Spike about the dreaming which Mum told me. We came back to school with the bus. I liked the most seeing the big town.

Last week Donald, Marlon, Ralph, Brodie and Eddie and Spike went to the Transport Hall of Fame. Eddie and Spike were driving the school bus and we had lunch. We ate kangaroo tail. Spike ate ants and Eddie ate a fly sandwich. We went in the shed to see the Transport Hall of Fame. We went to see old cars then we went to watch the television. It was about trucks going to the mines. We went to see the Old Ghan train. The driver changed the engine from the front to the back. Then we went back to Larapinta Primary School.

Ralph, Marlon, Donald and me went to the Transport Hall of Fame. We went on the Larapinta School bus. Eddie and Spike sat on top of the roof racks. Mr. Mitchell drove the bus. We went inside then looked around and we walked around. We saw old fashioned cars and a World War II tank. We rode on the cars and the big bus. We had lunch. Eddie and Spike ate a nutella sandwich and we played duck goose. We came back home. I liked the little white jeep. Eddie and Spike liked best sitting on top of the roof racks.
