Spike and Eddie arrive at Woodroffe Primary.

On Friday the 12th November 4/5 Thorpe’s class and I Eddie got to go to Skate World It was a special mid-term excursion to reward everyone for their hard work this term.

When we got there I had to go through ten pairs of skates because five were too small and five were too big. Then we got on the skating ring and one big hit and I went flying down like a pancake. After 10 minutes there was a flashing light and it hurt my eyes.

After 20 minutes I went to the canteen. There was to much of a line so I had to wait for 15 minutes. When I got on me ring again I found some of my friends and they tripped me over . Then I went up the ramp and I went sliding back down half way across the ring.

We played red rover and I was the 7th one to be remaining. We had to have a speeders contest and I went speeding across the ring.

Then it was time to leave and go back to school Luke, Murray, Ashley and I had a great day at Skate World

On Tuesday Amy and Callum invited me to do sport. The teacher told me, and the rest of the class that we were going to play diamond cricket and I got to bat first with Amy, Callum , Steven. When the ball got thrown to me I hit it out onto the oval - five points and Callum got nine. Mrs. Thorpe said that we were doing great.

After cricket we played fruit salad. Callum Amy and I were all apples and out of my team, I ran the fastest and never went to the trash can.

After a while we played volley ball and I kept on whacking the ball so they couldn’t catch it. The people I threw the ball to were Amy and Callum. I threw the ball so high that the other team couldn’t catch the ball.

After a while we played stuck in the mud. Amy, Callum and I never got tipped and I kept on saving people. When they got tipped and when I saved them I just ran through their legs and then the bell rang.

I really enjoyed playing with Mrs. Thorpe’s class and I would to like to come back next time to join them for sport.

I arrived on a lovely Friday morning. Three people ran up to me and said “ We are Ashleigh, Tanya and Steven. We will be showing you and Spike around our school ,” in unison. I was pleased that some children had offered straight away to help Spike and myself, or else we might of been lost.

“Here is where the whole school does sport and were we have assembly,” said Tanya.
“Look some children are playing sport ” said Ashleigh .

“Come on lets go play with them” said Spike.

“Look ! Look! there’s the Drama room, also there's the Special Education Unit.” “That's where our students with special needs go” said Steven.

At lunch time Ashleigh,Steven and Tanya come up and asked if they wanted to play football with the big kids.

“Would you like to go for a roller blade in the afternoon?” Tanya, Ashleigh and Steven all agreed.

After 2 hours blading Tanya, Ashleigh and Steven said “Well, we better go. See you Eddie and Spike,” they called.

Spike and I agreed that we could not wait till next time we come back because we had 3 wonderful new friends and an excellent day.

On Tuesday morning I arrived at Woodroffe Primary School at 8.00 am.
I sat down in line with the rest of the class while we waited for the teacher.
When we went inside we sounded like a herd of elephants. We put our bags on the rack and sat on the floor. The teacher called the roll
“Tessca
Kirsty
Justin.........”
Then we sat at our desk, I asked Kirsty a question. ‘Is this word study hard?’ ‘No’.

We sat on the mat and started to read ‘Blabber Mouth’. They said they have been reading this book for a couple of weeks now. It’s about a girl called ‘Rowena’ who can’t talk and her mother died and so did her best friend. It’s a pretty sad story and her father embarrasses her a lot, and looks weird in his cowboy clothes.

Rowena is just trying to make friends with other people but everyone teases her because she can’t talk. She is trying to settle into her new school and when she makes a friend named Amanda Cosgrove, she discovers she wants to use her as a Community Service Project, which Rowena doesn’t like. They become friends again. At the end of the story it is sad because her father goes away and she has to stay at the Cosgrove’s place. She cries for a long time, but her father comes back and everyone is happy.

I really liked ‘Blabber Mouth’ so I might go and read ‘Sticky Beak’ and see what Rowena gets up to next. Then I asked Justin what we were doing next he said ‘We’re doing sports’ ‘Yipee’ we played Fruit salad and corners it was fun. We had recess and I played tip with some first graders.

Then we went to assembly Kirsty and Justin got a merit award. The year 7's got a thank you from Mrs. Devine for cleaning up. After we left it was lunch time. I played tip with my friends, after a while the bell rang it was time to go home. I had a great day.

Today I have been invited to a gymnastics competition with the Woodroffe Gymnastics Team. There were eight people in the competition including Toni, Damara, Krystal and Joshua. When we got to Mararra Indoor Stadium it was 10:3:00 pm

When we got there, we went down stairs to do our stretches. When they started the first activity I tried to do was called a shoulder stand. It was a bit hard though because I didn’t have big shoulders.

After throwing a hoop to each other we had some lunch. I was so bored after eating some lunch and listening to the teachers talking.

At last we finished lunch and then they started there competition again. They did half turns I tried and got a red star but at least I tried.

After that the helpers packed away the equipment. Then they announced 1st , 2nd and 3rd place in upper and lower primary.

Guess what two of the Woodroffe Teams came third. I was so proud I jumped for joy. When the Woodroffe Team and I got back I told everyone how well they all went.

Today Amy , Tessca and Zac introduced me to everyone in their class and Miss Clasholm our drama teacher. She said we could play a short game of “Space Jump”. Our topic in Space Jump was fantasy so I stood up and there was Kirsty faking as if we were having a sword fight .

Then Miss Clasholm said ‘Now lets play wink murderers’.
‘Zac is the detective’ said Miss Clasholm . ‘I am Zac Bond Master Spy‘ said Zac as everyone began to laugh.

Tessca and Amy were the murderers and we were the three last sitting up and still Zac didn’t guess who was the murderers. Then the bell went and it was recess .That was the best drama day I ever had .

On Friday Nathan and Amy invited me to their Wheel-athon at their school and they asked if Spike and I would like to go roller blading with their group. They were having a wheelathon to raise money for wheelchairs which they are planing on donating to The Wheelchair Association.

I lined up with the rest of the children to the basketball court and put on my roller blades. I kept on falling over but Nathan and Amy told me to push with my legs but I still fell off. Finally I got used to them when suddenly I saw Spike showing off by jumping, blading backwards and other good stuff. I had a drink and at the end and I had done 306 laps with Amy and Nathan but sadly at the end I had to go but at least I had fun!

The bus door creaked a bit as I opened the door to Banksia 1.
“ Hello!” said everyone as I went in. One child said “You must be Eddie. My name’s Nathan. Where’s Spike?”
“Spike is very sick and couldn’t come but at least I’m here.” I said.

The children looked a bit sad but they soon cheered up.
“Come on everyone let’s tidy our desks and line up.” said Mrs. Thorpe.

I decided to join them and I soon found out that we are going to the computer lab. “Nathan can you show Eddie what to do?” said Mrs. Thorpe.
“O.K.” Nathan said. So Nathan showed me things that I never knew.

We also had a chance to look up sites at the Internet. We looked up Star Wars, Garfield, Walking with Dinosaurs and a Barbie site where you can make your own Barbie.

Nathan told me about viruses and how they can crash your computer but then he said our computers have a crash guard which tells you that something is wrong. We also looked up the site that I was on and other children learnt more about me and Spike.

When we finished we had to leave but at least I had a great time.
