What they achieve as SRC members

We hope to allow our classmates voices to be heard. We raise money for the school by selling ice cups. Also there is a regular meeting arranged with the Principal, so that if a student has a concern it can be conveyed to our Principal. We are also working to make our school a bit more interesting. Just lately the representatives changed the music for our recess and lunch to return to class. To sum this all up our SRC organizes the assembly, collect merit awards and co-ordinate the collection of the recycle bins. Every semester the class which is the most punctual to school in the mornings, has pizza for a lunch. They are doing a fine job, well done SRC.

Assembly

The SRC are responsible for the organisation and are the Master of Ceremonies for the fortnightly Assemblies. They set up the hall with chairs for visitors and the sound system. Members of SRC introduce each person presenting or class item that is being performed. They then have to pack everything away at the end. They are trained in the use of the sound system and how to speak into the microphones correctly. They also have to write their scripts and negotiate with staff on the best format for the assembly. Mrs Manley helps and guides the SRC through their duties.

Crazy Hair Day

Leukaemia Foundation

Crazy Hair Day was run successfully again this year. We raised $630 for the Leukaemia Foundation. Angus Robson and Dom Gomez were very brave and had their hair shaved in front of the whole school. They also raised a substantial amount of money for this very worthy cause. We had some fantastic and creative hair styles. There were prizes for the Craziest, Scariest and Cutest styles in Early Childhood and Upper Primary.
