Malak School is in
the northern suburb region of Darwin in the Northern
Territory of Australia. Our culturally diverse school
population is comprised of approximately 245 students in the
Primary and 45 students in the Preschool.
The school is
organised as an Upper School (years 4-7) and an Early
Childhood (Preschool - Year 3).
The school has specialist
teachers in English as a Second Language (ESL) Information
Communication Technology and The Arts. The Preschool runs a
one and a half teacher unit, children may be eligible for
Preschool after their 4th birthday.
The school
functions under an elected School Council. Early in the year
(March) the Annual General Meeting is held and community
members are elected.
The school Credo
is " Respect yourself, Respect others and Respect the
Environment." These elements wrap together into our motto
"Learning for Life". The school is firmly committed to this
credo and runs contemporary programs suited to the
individual needs of our students to achieve lifelong
learning.
