Enrolment

When enrolling at the school each child is appropriately placed according to level and age. It is important that interstate families bring documentation from their previous school with them. This is particularly important for students who have special educational needs. On enrolment, children are placed in one of three ‘Houses’; Black Cockatoos, Red Rosellas, Purple Parrots.  Children from the same family will be placed in the same ‘House’.

Pre-School

Ludmilla School is participating in the Age of Entry Policy Trial.  This trial involves: Children turning four on or before  June 30 may begin Pre-school at the beginning of the year, based on readiness and in consultation with the Pre-school teacher and parent. Flexible intake for Pre-school enrolments may occur throughout the year where places are available on the understanding that children turning four in Semester 2 will access more than 12 month’s Pre-school program.

Transition

Children, who turn five before 30June, are eligible to enter Transition at the beginning of Term 1.
