Welcome to Ludmilla Primary School. Ludmilla primary was opened in 1967 making us 40 years old!! despite this the ludmilla campus has undergone constant works keeping us  walking in to ludmilla school often surprises visitors as we have a very tropical lush green campus with many trees and an abundance of shade. The air-conditioned classrooms are built around two quadrangles. In the centre of the school there is an air-conditioned assembly hall fondly known as ‘The Great Shed” and two undercover areas each side of the canteen. There are three integration classes from Nemarluk School. One senior class is in the primary block and the two junior classes are located in the early childhood section of the school. The Nemarluk Pre-school also visits weekly for integration experiences with the Ludmilla Pre-school children. The Ludmilla Pre-school forms part of the early childhood section of the school with the playground located in the quadrangle. The RAAF Base Pre-school is a single unit in a new building shared with Kidz Force Child Care Centre located on RAAF Base Darwin. Other government agencies are housed upstairs at the Ludmilla School Campus. These include Top End Group Schools (TEGS), National Accelerated Literacy Project (NALP), Council of Government  Schools Organisation (COGSO) and Association of Northern Territory School Educational Leaders (ANTSEL)

Ludmilla Primary School is a small school where students are known as individuals.  Over the past few years we have been achieving big results highlighted in 2007 when we won the National Literacy and Numeracy Excellence in Schools Award.   Our student population comes from the local area, the Defence Forces and the Bagot Community.  This gives our school a rich diversity of cultures.  All students are integrated into classroom learning with provision for special needs offered in a supportive environment.  The students benefit from the smaller groupings and intensive teaching.

We successfully run a number of important educational programs in the school including “Tribes” and “Accelerated Literacy”.  Our school is resourced with modern teaching aids including interactive white boards in each of our classrooms.

I am very happy to discuss and answer questions about Ludmilla Primary.
