Parent and School
Communication
Larrakeyah teachers encourage parents to be involved in their child(ren)'s education. Open communication between parents and teachers is strongly promoted.
Parents Meeting
Reporting to Parents
Three-way Conferences involve parents, child and class teacher. These conferences take place at the end of terms 1 and 3.
Portfolios have been introduced as the medium of written reporting used by the school. Portfolios are sent home at the end of semester 1 and at the end of the year at which time they are kept by the parents. The portfolios include checklists and comments by the teacher.
If at any time you have a concern regarding your child(ren), we ask that you contact the school, by phone or in writing, to arrange an interview with the teacher or Principal.
Acquaintance Night
An informal acquaintance night is held in term one. This is an opportunity for all parents to meet the teachers and learn more about the school.
Newsletters
The Larrakeyah Light, our weekly school newsletter, is an important way for you to find out what is happening at school.
