Homework
Teachers will outline their expectations for homework. Homework is an opportunity for parents to learn more about their child(ren)'s progress at school. We encourage parents to read with their child(ren) as often as possible and to discuss school activities daily. The primary objective of doing homework is to bring aspects of school life into the home.
Parents can help their children by:
- offering positive reinforcement for effort
- encouraging children to help work out their problems, rather than by telling them answers.
- keeping the TV off until homework is completed.
- having a quiet place where homework can be done without distraction.
- being patient! (Making mistakes is part of learning.)
