During the last 4 weeks of term 2 Year 2 Lake have working through a computer program called 'Logical Journey of the Zoombinis'. The Zoombinis (cute blue creatures with different characteristics) are looking for a new home but need help to get through challenges and obstacles.
As part of this unit Year 2 Lake will be working with Year 2 Murray from Alice Springs School of the Air. The two classes will become Zoombuddies. On Wednesday 1st June the Zoombuddies met for the first time -
2 Lake went on an excursion and saw 2 Murray and we had name tags. 2 Lake had them and 2 Murray had them and we had to match up and go on the computer with our group. After we had to go to the hall and have some chocolate crackles and after we had to go on the bus and go back to Larapinta Primary School. By Alena

The Zoombuddies will keep in contact through email over the coming weeks. In the last week of term Year 2 Lake will be visiting School of the Air and participating in an Interactive Distant Learning (using computers and satellites) lesson with Year 2 Murray.
