Katherine Group School consists of 13 remote schools spread across 450,000 square kilometres in the Katherine region of the Northern Territory.
Each school is managed by the Katherine Group School Principal, the Assistant Principals and at a local level by the Teaching Principal of each school.
The majority of schools in this group cater for Indigenous, 'English Second Language' learners. Many Assistant Teachers are Indigenous and provide cross-cultural classroom support to non-indigenous staff.
Schools range in size from a seven teacher to a single teacher school.
