Jabiru Area School has started 2008 with some wonderful new things happening
This year we have seen Steve Sunk from Charles Darwin University conduct 2 classes of Certificate 1 in Hospitality. These classes are well received by both students and theit parents.
Jabiru Area School has involved itself in many interesting events so far this year. In early May we participated in the Guinness Record for the most people skipping for 3 minutes at the same time. We had 40 students participating in this event.
April saw the school installing Interactive Whiteboards to all 10 classrooms from Transition to Year 10. These whiteboards are state of the art and enable teachers to allow students to interact with the internet and various programs.
this has been supported by training sessions for all teachers to help them maximise their use of this new technology.
