The implementation of the Northern Territory
Curriculum Framework through the school’s multilevel
approach to teaching and learning encourages and develops:

in music, drama, art and craft through our specialist
music/drama program
Awareness, understanding and skills
in current technology - in particular competency with

An awareness of other languages and
cultures
Opportunities to use skills without
fear or ridicule
Curiosity and motivation to learn and
display talent
Physical skills, an awareness of a
healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude to recreation
which will lead to an appreciation of a healthy mind and
body
A willingness to excel
Individual differences through programs
to suit varying needs
A caring, considerate and respectful
attitude towards themselves and others
Links with the child’s home to
ensure the school community cooperates in educating the
children

It is the School’s responsibility
to translate the Northern Territory Curriculum Framework
into School Programs appropriate for the
needs of their particular students and to make decisions
about policy matters in relation to the curriculum.
Thus whilst there may be
some variation with teaching styles and resources used,
the aim is to work towards common and defined goals at a
Territory level which lead through compulsory primary and
secondary schooling.
