Preschool and Early Learning Environment
Driver Preschool is a crucial component of Driver Primary School and in 2007 will form an integral component of the Early Links program. The Preschool offers a multi age program for children who have turned 4 by June 30 in the year of enrolment.  Children are able to come for a Monday/Tuesday or a Wednesday/Thursday session.  Where possible, families are able to choose a session time which suits their child and family commitments.  Children are also invited to participate in an alternate Friday morning session.  Session Times Monday/Tuesday                     8.00am – 1.30pm Wednesday/Thursday             8.00am – 1.30pm Alternate Fridays                     8.00am – 10.45am  Fees are $60.00 per term or $260.00 per year.  A 10% discount is offered for families who pay within their child’s first two weeks at Preschool.				Transition to Year 3 As development in the Early Childhood years occurs at variable rates, children's progress through the early childhood area of the school may not be at yearly intervals. We also ensure flexible pathways for Early Childhood children to ensure their age and year level matches departmental policy. Class placements are considered carefully at the end of each year and also during the year as new children enter transition. Children must turn 8 before progressing to Year 4.
