Year Level Coordinators
Each student year level has a Coordinator who is responsible for the welfare
and academic progress of students at that level.
Faculty Seniors
There are eight Key Learning Areas within the School. A Senior Teacher is responsible
for their specialised curriculum learning area and assumes responsibility for
teaching programs and assessment.
Teaching Staff
Darwin High School has a full compliment of specialist teaching staff, all of
whom meet the requirements and qualifications set down by the Northern Territory
Department of Education. The School has approximately twenty Teachers of Exemplary
Practice.
Home Group Teachers
Home Goup teachers form a link between the student and the School. The Home
Group Teacher offers daily guidance to students concerning appropriate behaviour
and attitude. They also record attendance, establish good communication through
the Daily Notices and CONTACT (the School newsletter), and refers students to
the appropriate support service. Each Home Group Teacher coordinates the four
official student assessments for each student in their care.
