Students Services
Book Loans
- Limit of 5 Library items but negotiable
- Textbook loans as required by teachers
- 2 week loan for Library books but renewals available
- Interlibrary loans on request
- Student card is required – no
card no book
- No borrowing if the student has overdue items
Student Assistance
- The Teacher Librarian is available to offer students assistance in the
location and use of Library resources for research assignments and the selection
of reading material.
- Tutorial assistance is offered by the ESL teachers at lunch time in the
Library.
Internet Access
- Internet is on all Library computers
- Internet is only available for class work and research assignments i.e.
educational use as outlined in the Network Agreement
AV Equipment
- Video camera, multimedia projector, OHP, slide projector, cassette recorder
may be borrowed during school hours for class activities with teacher permission.
Pre booking is essential.
- Library videos can be viewed in the Library. Ask at the front desk for
equipment and headphones.
Computers
- A logon is required for all networked computers.
- Students may request a logon from the Library once they have completed
a Network Agreement form.
- Students with logon problems can report these to Library staff.
- Class bookings have priority on Library computers, but when not booked
the computers are available for students to use for school work.
- Students are required to save to their folder on the server or a floppy
disk, not to the C drive or the desktop of Library computers.
- Students must logoff when leaving a computer.
- Any problems with computers in the Library should be reported to Library
staff.
Printing & Photocopying
- Computer print outs are 10 cents/page. Pay at the Front Desk.
- Photocopies are 10 cents/page. Change is available at the Front Desk.
- Library staff are available should students need assistance.
