Physical Education
Each morning, students begin the day participating in morning
fitness. Activities allow students to build aerobic fitness, endurance, motor
skills, team work and having fun. Activities include obstacle courses, team
games, relays and dance, just to name a few.
Friday afternoons allows students in year 5/6 to participate in interschool
sports. Students may travel to and represent their school in a range of sports
against local schools and surrounding communities. Students are encouraged to
'have a go' by nominating to play sports that they may not have done before.

Students can try out for a range of Rivers sports teams by
attending 'Come and Try' and being selected. Sports include cricket, football
(soccer), basketball, netball, Australian rules football, rugby league, netball,
tennis, touch, athletics and swimming. 'Come and Try' information can be found
