MUSIC
The Year 5 students all learn to play a musical instrument and put on a
concert at the end of Term 2.
At the beginning of the school year, the students in Grade 5 are interviewed to
find out what instrument they are suited to play and Mrs Doyle the music
instructor organises instrument loans and contracts. She takes all Grade 5
students each afternoon Monday to Thursday from the middle of Term One to the
middle of Term 2 and teaches them how to play an instrument and how to read
music.
All students are encouraged to continue with their music when they progress to
Year 6 and join the band. |
