Teaching Staff

The College has dedicated specialist subject teachers with extensive experience teaching senior subjects. Many staff have been and are currently actively involved in NT/SA system wide activities as Subject Moderators and Public Examination Markers. A number of teachers are executive members of professional associations. While many staff have TEP (Teacher of Exemplary Practice) status, several also have industry experience. Staff are often available on study lines to give individual assistance to students and many faculties offer extra tutorial sessions.

Assistant Principal Student Services

Glenn Dixon is responsible for all student services at the College. He oversees enrolment, attendance policies and procedures as well as dealing with student discipline and grievances.

Student Coordinators

The Student Coordinators are available to assist students and liaise with parents regarding enrolment, subject selection and subject changes. They follow up and advise students and parents in regard to attendance and withdrawal from classes. Coordinators also provide a Study Skills/Time Management program for all Stage 1 students as well as help individual students with retention issues.

Additionally, they organise study skills, exam preparation and motivational sessions for students to assist with strategies for optimising their learning outcomes. They are also responsible for checking Stage 1 students' NTCE pattern and alerting students to problems.

Workready/VET/Careers/SBNA Coordinator

This Coordinator supports the delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs. Students and parents can receive information on VET course content and enrolment as well as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and school based new apprenticeships.

 

 

Aboriginal and Islander Education Worker

Brendon Jones provides academic and personal support to all Indigenous students. The College encourages parent participation.

 

 

College Counsellor

Dave Clarke, provides support and assistance with academic, personal and life skills issues. He advises students on study skills and exam techniques as well as helping them to obtain information and assistance from government departments and other community agencies. The Counsellor organises opportunities for students to improve their problem-solving and communication skills by participating in the Peer Skills Program, a two day program designed to assist students to help others.

 

College Nurse


The College Nurse is available to assist with information on any health or medical issue including assistance to access health related agencies/services. Resources relating to health issues are also available.

 

 

College-Based Constable

This officer is part of the Community Police team which aims to build rapport with students. The Constable offers a wide range of support and services about criminal and legal issues.
