Life at Casuarina Senior College is different from life at other schools. One of the main reasons for this is that we deal with an older age group.

As a student at this College you will be regarded as mature enough to be treated as an adult by College staff.

Students at the College are expected to attend all classes and to complete all assignments. An attendance check is taken every lesson and absences are followed up. You are free to organise your own program when you do not have a scheduled class.

The College community enjoys a lot of rights:
. the right to learn
. the right to be respected
. the right to be heard
. the right to be safe at all times
. the right to personal freedom and responsibility
. the right to have personal property respected.

No one can enjoy rights without responsibilities. At the College we encourage and support responsible behaviour in order to enjoy these rights. All students are enrolled in "Good Standing" and you are required to maintain this status throughout your College course. The purpose of this requirement is to allow the College to function in an orderly manner to encourage student achievement.

Good Standing means that the College assumes you agree to abide by the values of the College and that you will meet the obligations of your course such as attendance and work requirements. Within these values there is the expectation of responsible behaviour based on respect for self and others.
