Our school provides a stimulating, safe and caring learning environment. Teaching and learning to maximize the outcomes for our students academically, socially and emotionally is our focus. Within the school community we value the contributions of all students, their families and staff. We believe that children learn best occurs when the school, home and community work in partnership. Parents are welcome to visit the school and spend time in classrooms.
Over the years Berry Springs School students have achieved excellent outcomes in many areas. The results from MAP testing have been very good and reflect the great progress in literacy and numeracy made by students throughout the school. In 2007 Berry Springs School students scooped the awards at the Palmerston City Young Writers’ awards.
All children are given the opportunity to take part in a variety of physical and sporting activities and our students perform well in interschool competitions.
Musical talent is demonstrated in choirs and concerts and the visual arts in displays and the prizes won in competitions. Children have excelled in a variety of leadership roles. Positive feedback on student behaviour is regularly received by visiting teachers and on excursions etc.
Our committed and dedicated staff team work hard to improve the outcomes for our students. Parent volunteers and the School Council provided invaluable support to attaining our goals.
I hope you find our website interesting and informative.
