Dates: I started at about 5 or 6 years old and finished at about 14 years old.

Subjects We learned Maths, English, Cooking. I liked cooking but not English and Maths.

Teachers I remember Debbie McLean – she was a caring person

Culture We learned about cultureat school

Language We used English and Kriol in school. After school we used Kriol.

Discipline It was strict

Friends My friends were Finicole and Minnie. Minnie is in Beswick. We used to laugh together and talk secrets about boys.

Clothes We had a uniform. Holiday clothes were skirt and tops.

Sports and games There was football, soccer, basketball and volleyball. I liked to play bolleyball. The best sports person I remember was Finicole.

Excursions and Entertainment I remember going to the circus.

Reflections I didn’t worry about anything but my parents worried about me going to school and I worry about school for kids now.

My advice to
young people Keep going to school and get a good job.
