1960s Decade

The oldest photos we have been able to find so far

The name Beswick and Beswick Creek was used in the 1960s.  It was changed to Bamyili in the 1970s and later to Barunga in the 1980s.

This is a picture taken of children under the old upstairs school building.  This building burned down in the 1970s. 
Christine Camfoo had just started work as a Teaching Assistant at this time.  She is still working at the school.
