HOUSE COLOURS AND NAMES
On enrolment each child is allocated to a House Team. For 2008
boy and girl captains will be elected for each house from Year 6
and from Year 5 (there will be no Vice-captains). These captains
will be elected early in Term One and remain in this position for
the whole school year.
The significance of the Goose symbol at Bakewell Primary School
has transferred into the names chosen for our House Teams. During
1999, the inaugural SRC surveyed the student population to decide
on House Team names. Species of GEESE were chosen in an effort to
further promote the "Lessons from Geese" philosophy of teamwork,
support, cooperation, encouragement and being inter-dependent on
each other.
