How to Participate

All students must be involved in the Cluster selections to be eligilble for selection in the NT team.

Students should contact their PE teacher at School or the PE Coordinator for event details.

Uniforms

All students are requested to purchase an Arnhem Cluster Travel Shirt which is to be to be used for travelling and for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

At present a playing shirt is available for hire at $5.00 per student for all sports except rugby league. Team Managers need to set what colour shorts or skirts are required for the rest of the uniform. Some schools have on hand sets of shorts and/or skirts that match the Arnhem Cluster Playing Shirt colours.

Arnhem colours are blue, green and white. Arnhem has on stock sets of playing shirts that are predominantly green and sets that are predominantly blue. This allows for 2 teams to participate in any competition at any one time. A third set will be provided when needed.

Levies

Levies must be paid by team members at a time prior to the event, as specified by the team manager.

Flights must be paid for at least one month prior to the departure date. All levies must be paid at least two weeks prior to the event so that they can be checked and sent to the Cluster Administration officer for banking. It is however preferable that these be paid at the same time as airfares. School Sport NT will deduct these monies from the Cluster Account prior to the event.

If the levies are not paid, the students are unable to participate.

Levies may include the following, but each team manager has a budget to work to so please check the final amount with YOUR SPORT team officials:

Participation Levy for Exchange events $65.00 (Includes Lunches during the exchange)

Participation Levy for Championships events $45.00 (Canteen provided but students buy their own lunches)

Arnhem Cluster Playing Shirt Hire Fee $5.00

Arnhem Cluster Travel Shirts are $30.00. It is desirable that all teams travel in these shirts.

Arnhem Cluster Bucket Hats are $10.00

First Aid Levy $5.00

Morning Tea Levy $5.00 (fruit etc supplied by team manager during event)

First Aid and Morning Tea Levies are not set in concrete and are usually set by team managers.

Travel Expenses will vary from event to event. Students will either Fly or go up on a bus.

Appointed Officials ar responsible for the safety and well being of students in their care. Please read the School Sport NT Duty of Care statement here and the Supervision of Students at NT Events here

It is the Responsibility of each Cluster to assist their team officials in Risk Management. The following is a suggested checklist. The checklist is not exhaustive and the listed suggestions do not apply in every case. The Parents of Team Members can do their own checking of this list to assist in the Risk Management of their own child.

  • Medical Kit Checked
  • Parents/Guardians, students and School Sport NT Office have Officials mobile phone numbers
  • All information is checked on the School Sprot NT Permission Form
  • All medical conditions and medication documented
  • All accommodation/billet details in hand and completed
  • Parents/Guardians have team itinerary and program
