Alawa Preschool
Alawa Preschool believes in the development of the whole child. The Strong Beginnings program aims to encourage children to explore new ideas, develop new skills and knowledge and continue to build upon what they have learnt and experienced within their families. With support and encouragement, the children are challenged to attempt new tasks, form friendships, solve problems and work co-operatively to reach individualised goals.
We provide an innovative and fun-filled play-based learning program which follows the children’s developmental needs and interest areas. We provide caring, supportive and safe environments for children to learn in. We have an open door policy at the preschool to encourage parent/family participation in the program We welcome discussion on all aspects of the program and endeavour to maintain a level of quality education and care which meets families' expectations; building partnerships with families which strengthens our community.

Early Age of Entry
Alawa Preschool is part of the Early Age of Entry Trial.
This means that your child may enrol at the preschool at the beginning of term 1 if they turn 4 years old
before June 30th.
Session Times
Alawa Preschool offers whole day sessions - 4.5 days per fortnight.
- Yellow Group - Monday and Tuesday and alternate Wednesday mornings.
- Green Group - Thursday and Friday and alternate Wednesday mornings.
Times
- Full Days - 8:15 to 2:45 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
- Morning Session - 8.15 to 11.00 Wed only
